About Tanya
FOUNDER & DESIGNER
Tanya Rathee, a designer with over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, is the artistic mind behind the upscale brand LàTaRa, which specializes in creating clothing for children between the ages of 1 to 14 years. A daydreamer and imaginist who finds inspiration from William Wordsworth's poetry to the Regal culture of India.
While growing up Tanya spent a lot of her time sketching and playing with colors that later transcended into customizing garments for her close ones. To understand the fabrics and yarn and fine-tune her creative abilities, Tanya studied fashion and textile design. To have some worldly experience and witness the fashion industry from the inside, she worked with leading designers and design houses before deciding to branch out and launch her labels, LàTaRa for children and Tanya Rathee for men and women.

The seed of LàTaRa was sowed when Tanya recognized that the market for contemporary designs for children's clothing was not able to meet the artistic merit and opulent style compared to the market that catered to adults. Handmade garments are a luxury for young children, so LàTaRa takes great pride in exhibiting that the clothing marketed are 100% designed and made at the atelier for hours under the guidance of professionals.

About the Brand
Label LàTaRa puts forward a clothing line that will make children fall in love with dressing up in the chicest and most elegant way.
LàTaRa encompasses Indian heritage embroideries fine-tuned to the brand's trademark sense of style, based on the principles of finesse, artistry and eloquence.
The label is a fusion of her initials, which in Hindi, i.e., the national language of India, represents a STAR, and how the parents perceive their children. Her sheer love and fondness for everything intricate and grand exhibits in her exquisite ensembles made from the finest of silks, pure organzas & satins, embellished with Swarovskis , semi precious stones, pearls and beads.
